Jenna Hipp: The New Brights

Normally when I go shopping at Costco I don't think I'm going to leave there with some awesome nail polishes, but that is exactly what happened! I stumbled upon Jenna Hipp's The New Brights mini nail polish set and the colors were too eye catching not to buy. These eight mini polishes are the perfect set of colors to flaunt around as the last couple weeks of summer come to an end. They come with flat brushes for easy application and their quick dry formula is handy for when you're on the go or for anytime really, because let's be real, who likes waiting forever for your nails to dry?
The first coat goes on a little light but once you apply the second coat they are perfectly vibrant and opqaue. With names like "We are mint to be," "Say yellow to my little friend," and "Daft pink" wearing these brights on my nails makes it even more fun! My personal favorite is "I cast a spell on blue" because every girl needs a good deep navy nail polish in their life.

Top Row (Left to Right): I surf with boys, Say yellow to my little friend, Ain't life grape,  We are mint to be

Bottom Row (Left to Right): Just one bite, Jenna and the giant peach, Daft pink, I cast a spell on blue

Here I am wearing "Ain't life grape" and used "The Big Matte Top Coat" by Sally Hansen to get that matte finish thats all the rage right now.

All About Inglot

One of my favorite online buys in the past two weeks has been Inglot Nail Enamel and Inglot Gel Eyeliner. I got both from the Inglot USA website (since they ship world wide, make sure you're on the USA "e-shop"). They are having a sale on all of their regular and matte nail enamels; only $5 for select colors (they originally retail for $10). I have been searching for the perfect camo green color and their color "983" nailed it! The picture below shows what the polish looks like in different lighting, but in my opinion even bad lighting could make this polish look great! The square bottle it comes in makes it easier to grip onto when you're doing your own nails. The polish goes on nice and opaque on the first coat, but a second coat is a must. I had this color on my nails for a week and had minimal chipping! This Nail Enamel gets an A+ in my book and I will definitely be buying more!
Through social media sites and some famous make up artists that I follow, I've been seeing that a lot of them use Inglot's Gel Eyeliner to create the perfect winged cat-eye. Since winged eyeliner is like my signature thing I had to try it. I got #77 the jet black color. Once it's on it dries waterproof which is great because you don't have to worry about it budging all day long. I also picked up the 23T eyeliner brush to apply it with; it has a super thin tip great for creating the perfect wing, as you can see in the picture below. If you're looking for some great products at affordable prices, I recommend you check out Inglot Cosmetics!

Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub by Bliss

I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets dry, chapped lips in the winter and in the SUMMER! I feel like I'm on this on-going mission to find the most moisturizing and hydrating lip balm! Even though this Jersey Summer hasn't been as hot as previous summers, being out in the sun all the time and my recent trip to Miami has pushed my search, of a great product to cure my dry lips, into overdrive. Sometimes the cure to dry lips isn't always just a lip balm, so I set my search on lip scrubs. After doing a little research, I decided on the Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub by Bliss.
Made with sweet sugar, almond and walnut shell and jojoba, this scrub is meant to exfoliate and soften your lips. The sugar granules are very fine which doesn't make it too harsh on your lips. You can actually see the little flecks of almond and walnut shell in the pot. Aftering applying, less than a dime size, in circular motions to both my top and bottom lips, I let it sit for about a minute or two; it gives you a little tingling feel but not so much so where it hurts, like that feeling you get when you use a lip plumper for the first time.
After I wiped my lips clean with a damp washcloth my lips felt a lot smoother and it took away some of the dry, flaky skin from the middle of my bottom lip, which I consider to be my problem area. And that was just after one use! I've been using this product once in the morning and once again before bed for about a week now, and I can honestly say for a lip scrub newbie, I am impressed! I will probably try just using it once a day starting next week, but either way, this .5 oz pot is sure to last a long time! The warm vanilla sugar scent is an added bonus!

NYX Lip Liner Pencils

Jumping on the NYX bandwagon, the Lip Liner Pencils were a must have after my Butter Gloss and Soft Matte Lip Cream purchases. I got "Beige" and "Currant" to compliment the colors from my previous post. "Beige" is a simple, barely-there nude with an iridescent sparkle to it. I lined my lips with this and then applied the "Madeleine" Butter Gloss. Similarly, I lined my lips with "Currant" then applied the Soft Matte Cream in "Copenhagen" and then layered the Butter Gloss in "Devil's Food Cake" on top to give my lips an extra shine. I personally like wooden lip pencils as opposed to retractable lip liners because you can sharpen them so you will always have a nice point to create the perfect line. Wearing lip liners act a base for your lipstick or lipgloss; after a long day of eating, drinking, etc., your lip color will still be able to stay put.

NYX Butter Gloss & Soft Matte Lip Cream

NYX isn't a brand I used to frequent very often in the past, however recently I've been seeing a lot of hype about their products. I must say that I have to kick myself for not investing in them sooner! For my first purchase, I picked up the Soft Matte Lip Cream in "Istanbul" and the Butter Gloss in "Madeleine." The gloss really does feel like butter on your lips; it is not sticky or tacky like some other lipglosses. I'm a big fan of the nude lip and "Madeleine" is the perfect pale brown/tan shade. It is perfect if you're the type of person who doesn't want to wear a bold lip every day, like me. Unlike another favorite nude lipgloss of mine, NARS in "Striptease", NYX's "Madeleline" is a more sheer option. Needless to say, this is now my go-to gloss 24/7.
The Soft Matte Lip Cream is a great option if you want that matte/polished look that's all the rage this season. Adequately named, this lip cream is extremely creamy on your lips without being thick. "Istanbul" is the perfect dusty rose color I'd wear when I want a pop of color without being too in your face. I mean who doesn't want a perfectly pink pout, right? I was so in love with both of these after I tried them that I had to go back and buy more! I never was one to wear a dark lip but after trying on some darker shades, I think I've fallen in love! I don't know why I thought dark colors never looked good on me before. I got the Butter Gloss in "Devil's Food Cake" and the Soft Matte Lip Cream in "Copenhagen." First of all, those names are to die for and second, they are perfectly paired for each other. I layered the gloss over the matte cream for the perfect dark cranberry lip! This will definitely be my go to shade on those brisk fall nights!
So, if you want some great new additions to amp up your collection then these lippies are definitely worth trying! They come in a million and one colors and they're also super afforable! I got the Butter glosses for under $5 each and the Matte Lip Creams for under $6 each; can't beat a deal like that!
